| That place is right up the road from me, its a junk yard and not even a big one actually. It is called Highway Auto Parts.
Take a look on Google right up the road (north) on 95 you can see old Gtech building and parking lot for scale. There is no
way 20,000 cars there. Maybe 2-300 more like it.
Those cars were junk when they went in there. In RI we have a "swamp Yankee" tradition of pushing cars into the woods out
back when they died, my dad has 3 cars in the woods himself
lol. My best friend used to have a similar "Mustang heaven"
which was in reality "Rustang Hell" behind his shop way back
1980 time frame. Those cars are NE cars and 90% of them
had no floors at all in them by 1980.
Most were in junk yards already by then! My first car was a 66 mustang that was pulled from a similar place, and even though
it was 1979 and that car was only 13 years old there was
very few of them around in one piece any more. Now compare
that to my 1993 Z which many people confuse for a brand
new car! Cars did not last back then like they do today. Cars
with less than 100K were junked routinely.
